After watching the latest installment of Fantastic Beasts this past Sunday, I’ve been curious. I’ve been curious because Albus Dumbledore commented about a connection between the Dumbledores and the phoenix.

Albus explains to Newt Scamander, “A phoenix will come to any Dumbledore in need.”

For those of us who have watched the Harry Potter series have seen Fawkes, Albus’ phoenix, bring the sorting hat to Harry while he was in the chamber of secrets.

When Albus said this, I started to think about the scene when Harry gets the hat. Does this mean Harry is in the family lineage of a Dumbledore? Could Harry possibly be related to Albus all along?

However the case, Albus could have sent the phoenix to Harry’s aid, but it is still interesting to think Harry and Albus could be related some how.
