Hey there, friends! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Did you know I had a website? Yeah, I forgot about it too… kinda. Life has a funny way of distracting us, but here I am, ready to dust off the virtual cobwebs and share with you my renewed commitment to this online space. Oh, and did I mention I have a YouTube channel? Well, I do, and I’m excited to share it with you more often too.
For nearly a decade, I’ve been immersed in the world of digital media, wearing various hats in marketing, SEO, and content creation. It’s been a thrilling ride, filled with challenges and moments of inspiration. However, amidst the hustle and bustle of the digital realm, one thing has remained constant – my unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.
I’ve recently realized that I miss the connection and conversations that my website and YouTube channel used to bring. It’s time to change that! I’ve set a goal to post more regularly, sharing thoughts, reflections, and insights. Life is a journey, and I want to invite you to walk alongside me through this digital space. And guess what? I’ll be extending the journey to my YouTube channel, bringing you even more content and discussions.
As I embark on this journey, I find inspiration in the words of the great theologian Charles Spurgeon: “A good character, when established, is easily overthrown by ill company.” This serves as a reminder that the content we consume and share matters. My commitment to maintaining a Christ-centered focus on both platforms aligns with Spurgeon’s wisdom.
It all boils down to my favorite verse, Philippians 1:21: “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Let’s unpack what this verse means to me.
Firstly, “to live is Christ” speaks to the centrality of Jesus in my life. It’s about making Him the focal point of everything I do – from my interactions with others to the decisions I make. Imagine living each day with the goal of embodying Jesus’ love, kindness, and forgiveness in all aspects of life. That’s the essence of Philippians 1:21 – a reminder that life gains purpose and meaning when lived in accordance with Christ’s teachings.
Realizing that life isn’t solely about our own desires but about living in alignment with God’s will can be liberating. It shifts the focus from self-centered pursuits to a higher calling, fostering a sense of community and purpose.
Moreover, the latter part of the verse, “to die is gain,” offers a perspective on death that diverges from conventional wisdom. It speaks to the hope and assurance found in the Christian faith – the belief in life beyond earthly existence. Death, far from being an end, is portrayed as the gateway to an eternal reward in heaven, where believers will dwell with Christ forever.
This hope isn’t earned but is a gift of grace, as Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us: “For by grace you have been saved through faith…it is the gift of God.” Through Jesus’ sacrifice, we are offered salvation and the promise of abundant life.
To make both spaces more engaging, I’ve crafted a game plan. Regular interaction with you, my readers and viewers, is crucial. Consistency is key, and I plan to be consistently consistent. Expect thought-provoking questions, interactive polls, and maybe even a few giveaways. Your input is invaluable, and together we can create a vibrant online community.
In the spirit of inspiration, let me share a Bible verse that has guided my decision to revive both platforms: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9 (NIV). This verse encourages perseverance and serves as a reminder that our efforts, even in the digital realm, can yield positive results.
Living out this faith isn’t without its challenges. It requires choosing love over hate, forgiveness over bitterness, and righteousness over convenience. Yet, the joy and fulfillment found in following Christ far outweigh any temporary discomfort.
This has been a lot of words to say, my mission is clear – to know Jesus and make Him known. This sentiment echoes the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20, where believers are called to spread the Gospel to all nations. It’s a mandate that transcends time and place, urging us to share the love and truth of Christ with the world.
The heart of both spaces will remain firmly anchored in Christ. As C.S. Lewis beautifully put it, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” Expect articles, reflections, and discussions that explore the profound impact of Christ in our lives, both on the website and on my YouTube channel.
Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Let’s commit ourselves wholeheartedly to this journey, knowing that our labor in Christ is never in vain.
So, here’s to a fresh start, a renewed commitment, and a journey back to sharing faith. I invite you to join me on this adventure, as we explore the depths of theology, engage in meaningful conversations, and ultimately, grow together in our faith. As we step forward, let the words of Spurgeon and Lewis guide us, and may these digital spaces become beacons of light and inspiration in the vast online landscape. Stay tuned for more, and let’s rediscover the joy of sharing our faith in the digital age – on both the website and the YouTube channel.
